Should Have Picked Overnight Shipping
Dec 18th
My Wii is currently in Buffalo…just sitting there. I’m regretting not picking overnight shipping now, but I guess this is an exercise in patience at this point. It was an extra $30 for overnight shipping anyway…meh. I can wait a day. The wii shrine has been updated a bit. I now have a Nunchuck that I picked up yesterday from Circuit City. They had a ton of them there and you need to grab those things when you can. So when I get mine, I’ll have a total of 3 wiimotes and 3 nunchucks.
Time seems to be running about four times slower than usual right now. I hate anticipation induced temporal disturbances.
Speaking of temporal disturbances, I think I may have to send another e-mail to the head of the department at my school about my scheduling difficulties for next semester. He said last week that he’d send me a more detailed reply tomorrow and it’s been several tomorrows without anything. So I’m wondering if he forgot about me.
Time Stopped
Nov 22nd
Time slows down when you’re waiting for a 4 day vacation to kick off. 3.116 hours to go.
I’m going over to my parents tonight to have a pre-Thanksgiving dinner (homemade pizza, mmm), and to discuss what we’re actually doing for Thanksgiving tomorrow. We obviously love to plan things in advance around here. I think it’s just going to be figuring out when I’m supposed to be coming over, but I can’t turn down pizza, so over I go.
3.066 hours to go now.
Is It A Holiday?
Nov 17th
I’m the only person who’s currently working in my area (usually has 5 people in this room). Which means it’s very quiet. Time passes very, very slowly when it’s quiet. There’s nobody here…nobody moving…just me in my room.
It’s pretty freaky. I need to pay somebody to walk through, just so it looks like something is happening. Without that, I have no sense of time.
Where’d everybody go anyway?
