The Void
Oct 2nd 2007
Well, I know I've slowed down posting around here, but…really, there's not much to talk about. Even the Question of The Day's recently have been uninteresting to me.
I went over to my friends last night to watch Heroes (and pick up some yummy chocolate chip cookies) but I can't really talk about that much except to say it's entertaining. It's far too early for me to try to develop any sort of theory as to what's going on. I'm just happy I can watch it this season due to my school schedule.
Oh, there's another thing I can talk about! For my Software Engineering class, we're paired up into groups to do the final pair project. Our group got perhaps the dumbest project I've ever heard of. We have to make a system that will diagnose and repair home problems, like appliances breaking down and such. It's your classic internet enabled toaster scenario. I had to write up a 2 page problem description/specification sheet for this problem I don't have and can't see any reason of having. I managed to BS up about a page of crap before the well went dry. I sent it off to my partner to see if he can come up with anything I may have missed.
So…that's about it as far as interesting "stuff" goes.
Over A Year Later…
Aug 27th 2007
I just realized that I've been working on this blog for over a year. My first post was August 13th 2006 and I've been continuiously posting ever since. This is a total shock to me…I thought I'd get tired of doing this after a couple weeks.
And now look at me…still going over a year later.
I celebrated by baking some oatmeal cookies that smell, look and taste like oatmeal cookies should. Go me!
Too…Many…Cookies!

Last night Wassy and Jason came over to my place. She commandeered my oven since she really wanted to bake some cookies and doesn't like using their kitchen (That's a longish story). I now have entirely too many really awesome oatmeal rasin cookies.
We had a slight crisis where I didn't have quite a big enough bowl, but we raided my parents house quick and found something that was suitable.
Aside from the cookies, we watched Evil Dead II which I've never seen. I now understand why Bruce Campbell is such a revered actor. That man can sure say "Noooooooooooo!" with the best of them. Really awesome movie. I wish I could find the sequel Army of Darkness somewhere, but so far my search has come up empty.

If you could open a restaurant, any kind you want, what would it look like and what’s on the menu?
Submitted by A is for Amy.
(Warning! Inside jokes ahead! Proceed with caution!)
It’d probably look pretty non descript, and have the name “The Restaurant” since I tend to be very generic when naming things. Like in Suikoden, when asked to name the castle, I called it “The Castle”.
As far as the menu, I’m fairly set in my ways, so I’d set out to make the first ever hamburger, chicken-wrap and lasagna restaurant in the world! Those happen to be what I order most times when going out to dinner. For desert, there’d be peanut butter cookies prepared by taking some peanut butter and some cookies and mixing vigorously in a large bowl. And Cheesecake, because Cheesecake is good.
I think it would do well.
Assorted Happening

So far today is going a lot smoother than yesterday was. I’m being left largely alone, which is fine by me.
My Aunt came back from her vacation in the Pennsylvania Amish country and brought me back some cookies. Woohoo! Didn’t expect that when I came into work this morning (She works at the same company I do).
I found out last night that my headphones that I use regularly, a pair of Sennheiser HD-555‘s, are starting to show some cracks in the plastic around where the earpieces connect to the headband. The headband is also starting to seperate into two halves (the bottom part is starting to come off. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m now starting to eye something to replace them with. I’m almost settled on a pair of Sennheiser HD-595‘s. I really like how Sennheiser headphones sound. I’ve been using them exclusively for 5-6 years now. I even have a pair of PX 100‘s for use at work with my iPod. I take my sound quality seriously.
I’m also thinking about getting a headphone amp this time around, possibly a Go-Vibe v5 or a Headroom Total Airhead. I hear the 595′s are ok without an amp though, so I think I’ll pick up the headphones and then go for an amp later.
Once I have the cash for it anyway. They’re not exactly cheap.
Also last night, I finished watching the DVDs of Season 3 of Buffy the Vampire slayer being lent to me long distance from a friend in California. Awesome series, I can’t believe I haven’t watched it before now. I’m getting back into the swing of excercising nightly (I ride a stationary bike as often as I can generally) and I watch TV shows on DVD while I do it to pass the time, so I’ve been watching Buffy starting from season 1.
Anyway, I should get back to figuring out how e-mail attachments work.
