QotD: Why I Blog
Why do you blog?
Submitted by Syafira.
I blog primarily for me. I like having a record of things that I've done, tried to do, what I was thinking about during certain periods. I know not everything is in here, because as a public medium, I don't feel comfortable sharing EVERYTHING that's going on. But I can get context at least.
I also do it because it gives me practice writing about myself and, occasionally a creative outlet for times where I need one. One of my least favorite things to do in school was personal reflection type essays, so doing this is pretty helpful when it comes to overcoming that obstical. A handy skill when trying to sell yourself on a job hunt, to pull a random example out.
My secondary reason for why I blog is to keep my friends and family updated on what I'm doing. It gives anybody who wants to keep up to date with what I'm doing the ability to do so fairly easily. I'm not terribly interested in trying to make people I don't know interested in my life (although I'm not discouraging it, as I've meet some interesting people through Vox) but for those who know me, it can be a handy resource.
