If you could to create your own music band, whom would you put in it?

  • Drums - Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree)
I *almost* put Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater in this spot, but I think that Gavin would work out better. He's proven that he's versitile and able to taylor his playing to the song, depending on what the situation calls for. He's also very creative when he lets lose and comes up with a lot of very interesting fills and patterns.
  • Guitar/Vocals – Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree)
Steven Wilson is going to be playing guitar and singing in the band, with the occasional keyboard part as well. He's just one of the most tallented individuals that's out there today making music and one of the best lyric writers I know of.
  • Guitar/Vocals – Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth)
Mikael Alkerfeldt will be the second guitarist for the band as well as vocalist, lending both his clean vocals and his growling style for texture, depending on the context of the song. His guitar solos will also be a welcome addition to the group, since they're practically dripping with emotion.
  • Keyboards – Joe Stote (Former 3)
Joe is…one of a kind. An excellent performer with a huge stage presence. Of course he'll also take some of the percussion duties as well. And since he's currently not with a band, this is probably the only realistic pick I have on here!
  • Bass – John Myung (Dream Theater)
John Myung is an extremely technical bass player, but he also knows when to put that technicality away and play something that adds to the music. He can fade to the background to provide a foundation or he can play more up front. He's also a very poetic lyricist and I'd be interested to see what he and Steven Wilson would come up with in collaboration.
