It's Election Day! How was your voting experience?

Same old ladies. Same old lever voting machines, no lines, no waiting.

Well there was some waiting. Due to the old ladies. In New York (oneida county at least), they have these books where you tell them your name, they find it in the book and you sign next to your signature from the last time you voted as verification. Then they let you go vote.

Well…this particular lady couldn't spell. Despite the fact that my parents had already gone and voted before I did, she didn't know where to find my last name. Talking to my parents, they had quite the same experience. Eventually it was found, even though she thought I was my dad (who had already voted) but…well…I got all signed in and my vote was cast.

And what a relief it was too. I'm so glad I'm able to actually go do something finally, after 2 years of waiting to cast the vote I did an hour ago.

*crosses fingers*
