Yesterday I went out to Syracuse with my friends. Since I have the Rogue and everything, I wanted to go someplace over the weekend so we went out to the city to The Most to wander around the museum and catch an IMAX movie at the dome theater they have there.

The museum itself was a little disappointing because they were remodeling and had moved all of the exhibits over to the building with the IMAX theater in it. On the plus side, I got a nice picture of my friend Jason trying to climb across the wall maze they have set up. It's over there on the right. We got there a little to early for the amount of stuff that there was to look at, so we ended up jumping over to the nearby Starbucks and hanging out for a little while until the movie showtime.

The movie was cool though. We saw Deep Sea which had some interesting stuff in it. I didn't realize there's actual "cleaning stations" in the ocean where normally adversarial fish co-exist in order to be cleaned. Very interesting stuff (if you're into that sort of thing anyway). It also showed spawning coral, which was odd considering they only do it once a year on the exact same day every single year. It's kinda neat how it's all coordinated. They also showed a starfish trying to eat some scallops and not being very successful about it. I've never seen an actual non cooked scallop before, so that was a semi-highlight of the film for me. I left the theater thinking there's a lot of weird crap in the ocean.

After that we wandered through some shops and then went out to Olive Garden for dinner where my friends took the rare opportunity where they could go out and have a drink together with dinner (since normally one of them is driving.) And take advantage of it they did.

It ended up being a fun day despite starting out a little slow. Now I need to get back to the boringness that is writing a paper on Buddhism for my world religion class on Wednesday. I've swore that I'm going to stop procrastinating about stuff, so we're going to see how successful I am.
