As some may be aware, the LCD screen on my Canon camera (which is otherwise awesome) is nonfunctional at the moment.

I finally got a chance to take it and send it in to potentially be repaired, but when I went to their website to put in a repair request, it turns out they want a proof of purchase (dated) for the camera, which I don't have most likely because I probably tossed he receipt a month ago. Arrgh. I can understand why they need it (to verify warranty status) but it's still annoying…

I did find a website that shows how to do the repair myself, but I'm a little scared to try that method. I guess they'll sell you the LCD for $50.
