Today Is The Day!

Woohoo! I'm swinging by the store on my lunch break to pick up the new album. As is my tradition, I've been listening to every Dream Theater CD from their first to their most recent in order over the past week or so. I'm on the last song of the last album that should be timed to end just as I pull into the parking lot of Best Buy.
I also brought my MacBook Pro into work today so I can rip it immediately and throw it onto the iPod for further listening.
I'm slightly worried about this album as one of the released songs gives me some reason to believe they're moving towards being crazy and technical for the sake of being crazy and technical…however, that's just one song. The other single has grown on me over the last couple weeks. We'll see…

Well, I did some checking into my dead computer yesterday. Unfortunetly, it looks like when the power supply exploded, it took the motherboard with it. Anything more than that I can't determine since I can't get it to boot up properly.
It's going to be a month or two before I'm going to be able to fix it, and at this point I might even just upgrade to something else once I get the money.
In the meantime, I've got my MacBook Pro. It's not ideal for gaming, but…it's something. And now I've got it all hooked up to my main keyboard, mouse and LCD.
On the plus side, Wassy surprised me last night (it was hanging on my door when I got back from class) with a little French Vanilla smelling candle thingy (mmm…vanilla) to help with the "charred wire and plastic" smell. Much appreciated…that smell lingers forever.
