Caught In The Whirlwind
QotD: Childhood Frights
What were you afraid of as a child that seems silly to you now?

I was deathly afraid of thunderstorms. The fear itself doesn’t seem silly to me, but the extent that I was afraid of them does. I never wanted to be left along with a storm came along. “Clingy” is a good word to describe it. I got over it though. I’m still not at ease when a storm passes through, espically if it’s a bad one, but usually I’m ok.
I went through the mandatory “Afraid of the Dark” phase too.
