I got my most recent DVD from Netflix today. Scored the Fantastic Four movie which I didn’t see in theaters when it came out. It was decent…I was expecting a lot worse. But that’s not the important part.

I put the DVD in and start playing it and the first thing that pops up is an ad. It’s not just any ad though. It’s one of those commercials about how downloading movies is illegal and bad and you should never do it ever. Think about this for a second. A commercial about illegal movie downloading…on a DVD. One would assume if you’re watching the DVD that you didn’t download it illegally! Just a hunch and all.

I think the MPAA is marketing to the wrong people.
