Labor Day is a Busy Grocery Day?

0

I realized a little bit earlier today that I didn’t really have much food for dinner, so I went out to the grocery store to get some.

Wow…who would have thought people would be buying all their food items today? It was as busy as I’ve ever seen it. Maybe they were on their way to a mattress sale of some kind.

Anyway, Steve Irwin passed away today. The crocodile hunter, of course. It’s really a shame to hear since he did so much for the environment and zoos and stuff. As much as I’ve sometimes ragged on him in the past, he did a lot of great things for the world. He’ll be missed.  I feel bad for his wife and kids though. Nobody should have to go through that.

My Mistake

My Mistake

This book. That’s my mistake ;) I purchased it from Barnes&Noble earlier this week without really looking around at reviews…it ended up not being the book I was looking for, so I had to order something else on Amazon.

Now you know why I was a little hesitant to just buy a book on cooking for dummies yesterday.

What is your favorite children’s movie?

I’m going to morph this question into what my favorite movie was as a kid. Like a lot of young people, I grew up on disney movies. My two favorites were probably Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. I probably watched those two more than any other movie back in the day.

Aladdin was cool because of the songs and the humor of the Genie. The songs were Disney in rare form, really catchy, cool lyrics, etc. The Little Mermaid was great because of the story (well, at the time I thought it was the best thing ever ;) )
